Ava has finally decided to have her very first haircut!
When Ava heard how some little girls have to have medicine that makes their hair fall out like her Grandma's hair did she immediately said she wanted to give them her hair. Ava has made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating her hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.
Ava will be chopping off 36cm (the minimum required for donation) soon. She wants to raise some money to go along with her hair donation first so her haircut will probably be in the school holidays in July.
Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.
Ava's hair currently goes down to her mid thigh when it's wet. People stop us in the street regularly to comment on her long, beautiful hair and Ava loves it, always replying to them 'I am the real life Rapunzel'. It is a big part of Ava's identity.
She recently told us her name is 'Rapunzel Wonder Woman' and we all know Rapunzel's hair is magic so let's help make Ava's hair magic by raising money for some special little people.
Thank you! 😘😘
P.S. In true Ava style, she asked if she can keep a tiny piece of hair so she can make a moustache for herself. 😂
