I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.
I have never had a hair cut and I am looking forward to my first one this week.(This happened 30th May 2019) As I need to have my hair in its best condition for next year.
I am wanting to do this in memory of my sister Sophie who lost all her hair during her battle with Neuroblastoma. As Sophie died many years before I was born I wanted to do something for her memory.
I'll be chopping off a minimum of 40cm on Wednesday 15th April 2020. I have chosen this day as it will be Sophie's 21st.
Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.
